Carry-on bags allowance

Bag dimensions - height, width and depth.  Total linear dimensions (A + B + C) can be up to 118cm (46.5")

Size 

Carry-on size is calculated by measuring a bag's length, width and height (including any wheels and packed away handles), then adding the three measurements together. The total can be up to 118cm (46.5 inches). 

Note: If you are flying on our smaller Q300 aircrafts, the measurement 'C' must not exceed 22cm (8.7 inches).

Allowance

  • Economy fares get one carry-on bag plus one small item, like a handbag or thin laptop. 
  • Premium Economy, Business Premier™, connecting Business Premier, and Airpoints™ Gold, Elite and Star Alliance Gold members get two bags plus one small item. 

Weight

  • Economy carry-on can weigh up to 7kg (15lb). 
  • Premium Economy, Business Premier, connecting Business Premier, and Airpoints Gold, Elite and Star Alliance Gold members' carry-on bags can weigh up to 14kg (30lb) in total, with one item weighing up to 10kg (22lb). 

Got too much?

If your carry-on bag is above your allowance and your fare includes checked bags, you have a few options: 

1. Repack some items into your checked bag
2. Buy a Prepaid Extra Bag to add another checked bag 
3. Pay excess charges at the airport. 

Don't have checked bags in your fare? If you have a seat only booking, you can change your booking to include checked-in baggage.
